Awagami Kozo Thin Natural 70gsm

Kozo (mulberry) is a traditional fiber used to make washi that produce exceptionally strong archival papers. ‘Kozo Thin Natural’ AIJP has a warm light ecru tone and is recommended for black & white photos, giclee prints, museum quality reproductions, fine art, scrolls etc…It is great for backlit, wrapping and other applications where you need a very strong / semi-transparent paper – Not recommended for images with high ink-density as thin papers may buckle slightly. Awagami Kozo Double-Layered 96gsm / 30gsm

Kozo Double-Layered is two-layered paper; its printable side composed of 100% kozo fiber and peel-away backsheet made from pulp (discarded after separating). Separate the layers from one corner fist and attach to middle of a tube or cylinder. Slowly roll tube with paper across the sheet to gently pull layers apart as you roll. A very unique sheet, this washi paper is typically used for fine art, backlit photography, sculptural printworks, scrolls and antique replicas. (Optical Brightness Level = 75)

Bamboo 170gsm is a fine organic choice for artist, photographer and hybrid printmakers alike exhibiting notable eco-friendly advantages over cotton-based papers. This dense but wonderfully soft paper is made with the utmost care for beautiful print output and archival longevity. Awagami Bamboo papers are made from a mix of 70% bamboo + 30% recycled pulp (Optical Brightness Level = 77). 100% made, coated and packaged here at Awagami in Tokushima, Japan. Bamboo 170gsm is coated on both sides for double sided printing.
